half-taxed and unburdened: the story of the danes.
an interesting piece by morley safer. more isn't better, and the american dream seems to be taking it's toll. the best predictor of happiness is close friends and close relationships. oh, and six months paternity leave doesn't hurt either.
It was great, and really interesting to watch this, since i am a Dane. And yes we have all heard it, we are rated the most happy people in the world. We drink to much, smoke to much, and pay 50 % in tax, and still happy:) To be honest i think the program got the right answer, the reason is that danes have realitic expectations, even though the comidian: Sebastian Dorset, doesn't really know anything about it! Oh, and another interesting fact, is that Denmark is the country with fewest people that believe in God... very interesting indeed...
i'm currently a student in a work/study program in the swiss alps. i'm intentional about enjoying life, and i exist fairly well. these are the thoughts of my life.
enjoy.
